They shipped the game without multiplayer, with the aim of adding it in later as DLC.The dictionary in the first game was genuinely funny, so far all I've seen is crass humor or lame pop-culture references.Unlike TotD 1&2 they didn't bother to change things and add Dreamcasts or keyboard guns to the game.

TYPING OF THE DEAD GAME INSERTS PC
Sega should really put the PC version of the original Typing of the Dead on Steam.

In addition to the weird dictionary words and phrases (last boss was particularly funny), there were the battery-powered Dreamcasts+keyboards and replacing the zombie weapons with stuff like lollipops and toy hammers. Then there were typing exercises as well. The original Typing changed up the gameplay a lot, throwing various typing challenges at you in the middle of levels and unique boss encounters (such as multiple choice questions in which you have to type the correct answer).

I guess it's a neat novelty as a bonus in addition to the original Overkill, but it looks pretty bare bones. I'm only basing this stuff on the Quick Look, as I haven't played Typing of the Dead Overkill yet, so maybe there's more to it later, but what's in the Quick Look doesn't look too impressive. Hmm, looks pretty disappointing as a successor to the original Typing of the Dead (never played Typing of the Dead 2, so I can't comment on that).
